Container Chassis
Servicing short and deep-sea containerised cargo requires a range of ISO compatible equipment types. DNFS either owns or has access to:
- Sliding skelly semi-trailers
- Sliding skeletal chassis equipped with gensets
- Gooseneck container chassis
- Extendable low loaders capable of transporting 20ft, 40ft & 45ft containers
- Tipping chassis
Dry vans
Our fleet of dry vans are secure solid sided semi-trailers which are principally utilised for the carriage of high value cargo.
All of the DNFS dry vans are equipped with an advanced GPS tracking system which incorporates an anti-hijack brake system. The anti-hijack brake system allows the semi-trailer brakes to be remotely activated.
Essentially, this means that in an emergency situation where the truck driver feels under threat, by activating a panic button, a distress alarm is directed to an independent monitoring station. Upon receipt by the monitoring station of the distress alarm, and having followed a specific protocol the control room operator can activate an instruction which is sent to the GPS unit on board the dry van which will activate the trailer brakes when the vehicle next drops below 5mph.
